    I was raised in the San Diego area where I started working, after school at the age of 13, at my father's dental practice. I received my bachelors degree in zoology with minors in chemistry and music from BYU. I then got my dental degree with honors from OHSU in the year 2000. I owned a private practice in Portland Oregon from 2000-2012.
